No tickets were sold matching all six numbers in Tuesday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery, pushing the estimated jackpot for Friday’s drawing to $228 million.
The numbers drawn were 11, 17, 33, 39 and 43 and the Mega number was 14. Tuesday’s jackpot was $202 million.
One ticket matching five numbers, but missing the Mega number, was sold at a Chevron station on 26393 Vermont Ave. in Harbor City, according to the California lottery. It was worth $886,657.
The drawing was the eighth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number are 1 in 302,575,350, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.
The Mega Millions game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
