One person was hospitalized Saturday with burns from a Cypress house fire and an Orange County Fire Authority engine was involved in a crash while en route to the blaze.

The fire was reported at 1:20 p.m. at a residence in the 5500 block of Marcella Avenue, said OCFA Capt. Shane Sherwood.

One burn patient was taken to a hospital and Sherwood was awaiting more information on the extent of the injury.

An OCFA fire engine was involved in a crash with a civilian vehicle on the way to the fire, he said. There were no injuries.
