A fire erupted late Wednesday in a Moreno Valley residence, damaging part of the home before crews got it under control.
The non-injury blaze was reported at 5:20 p.m. in the 23100 block of Lena Street, near Eucalyptus Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Crews encountered smoke and flames on the first floor of the two-story structure. They had the fire fully contained about 5:45 p.m.
Southern California Edison and Gas Co. technicians were requested to shut off damaged equipment.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
