Authorities Thursday identified a man found dead inside a fire-damaged residence in the Fairfax District.
Firefighters sent to the 100 block of North Vista Street at 3:03 a.m. Wednesday quickly extinguished the fire in the one-room back house, behind a one-story home on the property, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Roland Guidry, 58 of Los Angeles, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner’s office. The cause of his death was listed as “deferred pending additional investigation.”
No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Prange said.
