A woman in her late-70s who was killed when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Westwood was identified by county authorities Friday.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office determined the victim was Christine Lane.
The crash was reported at 10:10 p.m. Friday on Wilshire Boulevard at Malcolm Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
Lane was crossing outside of a crosswalk and was struck by the vehicle that was moving southwest on Wilshire Boulevard, he said.
Lane was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A description of the vehicle that fled the scene was not available.
