Authorities Monday identified a woman who was killed when the compact SUV she was driving crashed into a big rig and a wall and overturned on the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in Willowbrook.
The crash was reported at 10:51 p.m. Sunday on the eastbound freeway at Wilmington Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Alyssa Mendoza, 21, of Duarte died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office and the CHP. The trucker was not hurt.
The CHP issued a SigAlert shutting down lanes Nos. 2, 3 and 4 of the eastbound freeway for about three hours while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.
