Attorney Shedrick Davis was unanimously elected Wednesday as president of the Los Angeles City Ethics Commission.

Davis is the regional director of the Western Regional Office of the LGBT and HIV-positive civil rights organization Lambda Legal.

Prior to joining Lambda Legal, Davis was vice president and assistant general counsel at JPMorgan Chase for 20 years.

Attorney Jeffery Daar was unanimously elected vice president.

Daar is principal in the law firm Daar & Newman. His expertise includes strategic planning, cross-border litigation and transactions, complex litigation in state and federal courts and dispute resolution.

Davis and Daar will serve in their positions through June 30.
