Authorities Friday rescued three dogs that were running near the center median of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in the Duarte area.
Officers were sent to the southbound 605 Freeway near Arrow Highway about 6:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The huskies were taken to an animal shelter, the CHP reported. It was unclear how the dogs made their way onto the freeway.
