An Ebony Alert was issued Saturday for a 12-year-old boy who was reported missing in Tustin.

Brandon Jones, Jr. was last seen at approximately 3:45 p.m. Friday at Williams Street and McFadden Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Tustin Police Department.

Brandon is Black, 5 feet tall, weighs 90 pounds, has black hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black shirt and black shoes and authorities say he is believed to be on foot.

Anyone who has seen Brandon or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.

The law creating the Ebony Alert went into effect on New Year’s Day. It covers Black children, teenagers, and young adults 12 to 25 years old who are reported missing under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or those who are at-risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired, or who have been abducted.
