The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Sunday for the 11th time in the last 12 days, dipping three-tenths of a cent to $4.547.

The average price has dropped 6.4 cents over the past 12 days, including two-tenths of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.2 cents less than one week ago, 1 cent less than one month ago and 89.2 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.947 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price remained the same at $4.467, breaking a streak of 11 consecutive increases. It is 3.6 cents less than one week ago, 2.3 cents less than one month ago and 78.9 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.992 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

“We are entering the time of year when gasoline demand typically drops, and on Nov. 1, Southern California gas stations will be allowed to sell the winter-blend gasoline which is cheaper to produce and less expensive for consumers,” said Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.

The national average price dropped for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.13. It is 4.7 cents less than one week ago, 9.3 cents less than a month ago and 38.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.886 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
