A person was fatally struck by a freight train Monday in the South Los Angeles area.
The collision, involving a Union Pacific Railroad train, occurred around 7 a.m. near East Florence Avenue and Graham Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the person, who died at the scene.
The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
