A vacant, single-story house burned Saturday in the Riverside County agricultural community of Ripley, near the Colorado River.
The fire was reported at 5:14 p.m. Saturday in the 17000 block of 26th Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The house and an outbuilding were fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived, officials said. Firefighters focused on keeping the fire from spreading to nearby outbuildings and vegetation.
With the flames out, firefighters expected to remain on the scene for several hours to make sure all embers were out.
