The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Thursday to its lowest amount since Jan. 30, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.504.

The average price has fallen nine of the past 10 days, dropping 5.4 cents, including two-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It dropped six consecutive days, was unchanged Monday and resumed decreasing Tuesday.

The average price is 3.8 cents less than one week ago, 11.9 cents lower than one month ago and 19.5 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.999 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price resumed dropping, decreasing six-tenths to $4.446, one day after a six-day streak of decreases totaling 4.1 cents ended with an increase of one-tenth of a cent.

The Orange County average price is at its lowest amount since Jan. 29 and 3.8 cents less than one week ago, 11.9 cents lower than one month ago and 19.5 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.012 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price was unchanged, remaining a $3.16, one day after increasing 1 cent. It is 1.2 cents less than one week ago, seven-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 35.2 cents below what it was one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.856 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
