A woman was found dead in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of South Los Angeles and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives Thursday are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
Detectives were called at approximately 11:40 p.m. Wednesday to the 1100 block of W. 87th Street, west of Vermont Avenue, where they assisted deputies from the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station with a death investigation, said LASD Homicide Lt. Steven De Jong.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
