Two people were arrested during a DUI checkpoint in Moreno Valley on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, authorities said Saturday.
The checkpoint was conducted between 6 p.m. and midnight Friday near the intersection of Heacock Street and Webster Avenue F, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
A total of 1,441 vehicles were contacted. Three field sobriety tests were conducted, and two drivers were arrested.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
