The city of Indio will be hosting a free Community Emergency Response Team training next week.
The training is a three-day program that will take place at the Indio Emergency Operations Center located at 45222 Towne St. It will begin Friday and conclude Sunday, March 22.
The program will teach residents how to prepare for disasters that may impact Indio and will provide hands-on training in basic emergency response skills including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.
