Authorities were seeking a motorist who allegedly fled the scene of a street race and subsequent collision in San Jacinto Sunday, leaving another driver injured and streets blocked.
The collision occurred around 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Soboba Road and Lake Park Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol. The two vehicles involved in the street race were reported to have crashed into a third vehicle, the CHP said.
One vehicle fled the scene prior to the arrival of sheriff’s deputies, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s San Jacinto station. No description was immediately available.
Another driver was taken to a hospital and was said to have stable vital signs.
