At least one person was killed Sunday in a head-on collision in front of a fast-food restaurant in Cabazon.
The crash was reported at 9:34 p.m. Sunday at Morongo Trail and Seminole Drive in front of an In-and-Out Burger, according to the California Highway Patrol. It was near the Redlands (10) Freeway.
At least one person was pronounced dead at the scene, with the Riverside County Coroner’s office summoned.
One person was taken by ambulance to Desert Regional Medical Center.
Caltrans was called to the scene to repair 30 feet of damaged chain-link fence near the freeway.

The lady was speeding excessively going over 70-80 mph. She was right behind me coming from the Casino heading towards the on ramp 10 West freeway. As I verged right to try not to get hit she verged left onto the center divider for about 20 yards riding it causing flames and debris. She then continued to merge on to oncoming traffic and collided head on to another vehicle. We immediately parked and tried to administer 1st aid as we were first on the scene however I found no pulse or signs of life. The lady had immediately died on impact. RIP
