Nordstrom Rack plans to open new stores in Marina del Rey and Torrance, expanding its presence in the Los Angeles area.
The Marina del Rey location is expected to open in spring 2027, while the Torrance store is slated to debut in summer 2027, according to the Seattle-based retailer.
“We look forward to being a part of the Marina del Rey and Torrance communities and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices,” Nordstrom Rack President Gemma Lionello said in a statement Wednesday. “We’re excited to grow our footprint in the Los Angeles market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.”
The Marina del Rey store will occupy about 30,000 square feet at Marina Marketplace, a shopping center near Route 90 and Lincoln Boulevard that includes retailers such as Gelson’s, Equinox and an AMC theater, officials said.
The Torrance location will also span roughly 30,000 square feet and will be located at Rolling Hills Plaza, at Pacific Coast Highway and Crenshaw Boulevard, alongside tenants including Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and 24 Hour Fitness.
Company officials said the new stores will offer discounted apparel, accessories and other merchandise, along with services such as online order pickup and returns.
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price division of Nordstrom Inc. and currently operates dozens of locations across California.
The company said the expansion is part of its effort to grow its physical footprint and customer base in the state.
