Fifteen motorists were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license during an overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
The checkpoint was held at Pacific Coast Highway and Daisy Avenue from 6 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday, where 869 vehicles passed through and 391 drivers/vehicles were screened, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
