A 36-year-old man was charged Thursday with sexually assaulting three girls in Santa Ana.
Fernando Cruzlopez was charged with three counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years old or younger, a count of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 years or younger, and three counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14, all felonies.
Cruzlopez was accused of attacking the girls in 2009, 2013 and 2017, according to the criminal complaint.
The defendant did not enter a plea at his arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana Thursday. He is scheduled to be arraigned May 22 in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
Santa Ana police deferred a request for more specifics to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, which did not immediately respond to a message.
