Lane closures start Monday in both directions of the Golden State (5) Freeway near Castaic for ongoing pavement work, Caltrans announced Friday.
From Monday to next Friday, the right and left lanes of northbound Interstate 5 may be closed at various locations between Lake Hughes Road to three miles south of Templin Highway, according to Caltrans.
The closures were scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, the state transportation agency announced.
The pavement rehabilitation project started in 2022 and involves replacement of concrete slabs, upgrades to drainage systems and guardrails, repairs and stabilization of slopes and constructing a retaining wall, said Caltrans.
