A drive-by shooting in the Hyde Park area killed two men and wounded another, authorities said Saturday.

The shooting occurred at 7:45 p.m. Friday at 59th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.

A 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. Paramedics rushed a 60-year-old man to a hospital where he died. A 54-year-old man was hospitalized with stable vital signs.

Two or three male suspects approached the men in a vehicle and fired the shots, then fled the scene, he spokesman said.
