The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Wednesday for the 10th time in 11 days, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.925.

The average price has decreased 9.1 cents over the past 11 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose 19.1 cents during a nine-day streak of increases that immediately preceded the current run of dropping prices.

The average price is 6.9 cents less than one week ago and 22.5 cents lower than one year ago but 43.6 cents more than one month ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing 1 cent to $3.895. The average price has decreased 10.8 cents over the past 11 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Tuesday. It rose 18.7 cents during a 10-day streak of increases that immediately preceded the current run of dropping prices.

The Orange County average price is 7.9 cents less than one week ago and 24.1 cents lower than one year ago, but 41.2 cents more than one month ago.

Analysts attribute the dropping prices to a resolution of supply problems.
