
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Thursday for the 32nd time in 35 days, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.783.
The average price has dropped 51.9 cents over the past 35 days, including 1.9 cents on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The decreases follow a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 75.7 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 4, 2014.

The average price dropped for 26 consecutive days, had three days of increases totaling 10 cents from Aug. 12 through Friday in connection with rising wholesale prices, then resumed declining on Saturday, according to Allison Mac, a West Coast petroleum analyst for GasBuddy.com, which bills itself as the nation’s leading provider of retail fuel pricing information and data.
The average price is 7.5 cents less than one week ago, 48.3 cents lower than one month ago and 8.6 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price also dropped for the 32nd time in 35 days, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.738. It has dropped 53.7 cents over the past 35 days, including 1.6 cents on Wednesday.
The decreases follow a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 77.8 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 6, 2014.
