
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent Saturday to $2.854, the second consecutive decrease after rising 10 times in 12 days.
Despite the recent decreases, the average price is eight-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
However, it is six-tenths of a cent less than a month ago and 97.1 cents lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped eight-tenths of a cent Saturday to $2.825, the third consecutive decrease after rising 10 times in 12 days.
The Orange County average price is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 2.3 cents lower than a month ago and 99.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
