The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent Sunday, to $3.074, after a one day respite in a two-week string of increases.
The average price is 1.9 cents more than one week ago, 3.9 cents higher than one month ago, 23.8 cents greater than one year ago and 25.6 cents above what it was on Jan. 1, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $3.062, the second consecutive increase after a 15-day streak of increases ended Friday when it was unchanged.
The Orange County average price is 1.5 cents more than one week ago, 4 cents higher than one month ago, 25.2 cents greater than one year ago and 24.5 cents above what it was on Jan. 1.
