The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose seven-tenths of a cent Saturday to $3.598, after slightly decreasing seven of the previous eight days.

The average price decreased 1.4 cents over the previous eight days, including two-tenths of a cent on Friday according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is one-tenth of a cent less than one week ago and 3.6 cents lower than one month ago but 29.8 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose nine-tenths of a cent to $3.545 after slightly decreasing six of the previous eight days. It is unchanged from one week ago, six-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 28.4 cents more than one year ago.

The average price dropped 1.4 cents over the previous eight days, including three-tenths of a cent on Friday.
