Staff at the Korea Daily newspaper are being tested for COVID-19 after an advertising employee at the newspaper and his wife both tested positive for the virus.

Several editors and business staff were still showing up for work at the Korean-language publication, located at 690 Wilshire Place on the eastern edge of Koreatown. Media are considered an essential industry under state and local stay-at-home orders put in place to slow the spread of the virus.

The employee told his bosses that he tested positive for COVID-19 last week. It was not clear when his wife tested positive.

The newspaper’s CFO confirmed to City News Service on Saturday that the testing was being done and employees were awaiting results.
