
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its largest daily increase since Feb. 19 Thursday, rising 2.6 cents to $4.624, its highest amount since Oct. 16, 2012.
The average price is 3.4 cents more than one week ago, 18.3 cents higher than one month ago and $1.468 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price also recorded its largest daily increase since Feb. 19, rising 3.5 cents to $4.591, its highest amount since Oct. 16, 2012. It is 4.4 cents more than one week ago, 18.8 cents higher than one month ago and $1.472 greater than one year ago.
