FIND Food Bank, a hunger-relief and food rescue nonprofit organization, received a $10,000 donation from Bank of America, it was announced Friday.
The donation equates to 45,000 meals for community members in need, and comes at a time when inflation and supply chain issues have increased the cost of food and other supplies FIND Food Bank purchases, according to Bansree Parikh, Inland Empire Bank of America president.
The donation stemmed from a program where, for each Inland Empire employee who received the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot by the end of January, the bank donated $100 to FIND Food Bank or Feeding America Riverside San Bernardino.
The program raised a total of $35,000.
Founded in 1983, FIND Food Bank currently feeds an average of 150,000 individuals each month through its 150 distribution sites and 80 community partners.
