A person suffering from a medical emergency was rescued from an inaccessible area in Aguanga Saturday.
Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department responded to the Dripping Springs Campground at 39755 state Route 79 around 3:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a person with a medical emergency on the Wild Horse Trail.
Firefighters hiked approximately three miles to get to the patient, according to the fire department.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter Rescue 9 assisted with the rescue and hoisted the patient who was then taken to a hospital by ground ambulance in moderate condition.
