A fire at a one-story four-plex in Atwater Village Friday evening was knocked down in 18 minutes by 30 firefighters with no injuries reported.
The fire was reported at 10:53 p.m. and firefighters responded to 4519 W. Brunswick Ave., between Golden State (5) Freeway the Glendale city limits, where they found the flames coming from a single unit, preventing them from extending to the adjoining units, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The sole occupant was outside the four-plex when firefighters arrived, Stewart said.
It was unclear what sparked the fire, and the cause was under investigation.
