One person was critically injured and five others sustained minor injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash in the Pomona area Wednesday that closed five freeway lanes for about an hour.
The crash was reported about 4:55 a.m. on the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway just east of the Orange (57) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The carpool lane and four main lanes were closed as officers responded and Los Angeles County Fire Department crews tended to the injured.
Six patients, including one who was in critical condition, were taken to hospitals, according to a fire department spokesman.
One westbound lane was reopened around 6 a.m., and the rest were cleared by 7 a.m., according to the CHP.
