One person died Wednesday in a fire on the east end of Nuevo that significantly damaged a mobile home and three vehicles.
The fire was reported just after 4 p.m. in the 31000 block of Park Boulevard, near Magnolia Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames raging in a single-wide mobile home, as well as an RV and two cars.
Firefighters prevented the inferno from spreading to surrounding properties, containing it roughly a half-hour later, fire officials said.
While searching the confines, crews discovered a body, according to reports from the scene.
It was not clear whether the victim, whose identity was not immediately released, died inside or outside of an enclosed space.
By 5 p.m., the fire was under control, and crews were mopping up.
A coroner’s deputy was requested by fire personnel and was expected to initiate an investigation Wednesday evening.
There was no immediate word on what might have triggered the fire.
