Firefighters were on the scene of a 100-acre fire burning in Homeland Friday.
Riverside County Fire Department personnel received a report of a vegetation fire at 2:11 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Juniper Flats Road and Mapes Road, according to a department statement. Additional air and ground resources were called to the scene.
Information about the cause of the fire or about injuries was not immediately available.
