A large propane semi-truck with an active leak prompted an evacuation order in Pine Cove Saturday, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.
The leak was reported just after 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the 53100 block of Mountain View Drive.
An evacuation order was issued for the residences on Mountain View Drive and residences on Walters Drive were advised to shelter in place.
The fire department hazmat team was on-scene mitigating the leak, which was slowed down significantly just before noon.
The leak was mitigated by 1:40 p.m. and the evacuation order, as well as the shelter in place order were lifted, according to the fire department.
