A 45-year-old pregnant woman who was fatally shot in a suspected murder-suicide in Westwood was identified by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office Monday.
Gul Erdogan was pronounced dead around 5:45 a.m. Friday at a home in the 1300 block of Holmby Avenue, near Wellworth Avenue just west of the Los Angeles Country Club, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Erdogan died from a gunshot wound to the head with the manner of death listed as homicide, officials said.
The name of her husband, who was also found dead at the home, was not immediately released.
Officers had responded to a shooting call at the location and found the deceased couple inside, an officer said.
“They seemed like a pretty happy couple, talking, walking hand-in-hand,” neighbor Richard Schultz told KTLA5.
He told the station the woman was eight-and-a-half months pregnant, and they held a baby shower on the Fourth of July.
Law enforcement sources also told NBC4 the woman was pregnant.
