Six adults and four children were displaced by a residential fire in Mecca Sunday, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.
The fire was reported just after 9 a.m. Sunday in the 93000 block of Highway 111, where a single-story, single-family home was found with heavy smoke, according to the fire department.
Firefighters contained the fire by 9:45 a.m. and the American Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced residents.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
