Four people were displaced by a fire Saturday in a multi-family structure in Moreno Valley, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.
The fire was reported around 12:45 p.m. Saturday in the 25800 block of Iris Avenue, where firefighters found the structure with smoke showing from the garage of one unit.
The fire was contained to one room on the first floor of the unit, which sustained significant damage due to sprinkler activation, officials said.
The Southern California Red Cross was assisting the displaced people. SoCal Gas and Southern California Edison personnel were requested to assist at the scene as well.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
