Firefighters Saturday battled a fire in the attic and patio area of a residence in the area of southeast Hemet.
The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 41000 block of Whittier Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Fire crews contained the fire to a portion of the attic and patio area.
One person suffered minor injuries but declined transportation to a hospital, according to the fire department.
No additional injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
