More than 5,000 youth baseball and softball players, family members and coaches are expected to gather Sunday at Dodger Stadium for the annual Dodgers Dreamteam PlayerFest.
The event, organized by the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and provide participants with access to health screenings, educational resources, sports instruction and other family-focused activities.
Attendees will have access to areas of Dodger Stadium including Centerfield Plaza, the warning track, bullpens and dugouts, according to organizers. Participants will also be able to meet Dodgers alumni, take photos with the Dodgers’ 2025 World Series trophy and receive giveaways from sponsors and community partners.
Free services and resources will include hygiene kits from Baby2Baby, produce boxes from the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, transportation information from Metro, baseball and softball instruction from the Los Angeles Dodgers Training Academy and vision screenings from Vision to Learn, organizers said.
Representatives from the Lakers, Sparks and Kings are also expected to participate with activities and giveaways.
The Dodgers Dreamteam program is designed to increase access to youth baseball and softball programs throughout Los Angeles County while connecting participants and families with educational, health and community resources.
According to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, the organization has spent more than $80 million in programs and grants and has positively impacted more than 11.5 million youth through its education, health, homelessness prevention and social justice initiatives.
