Woman Killed in Lancaster Hit-and-Run Identified

A woman who was fatally struck in an apparent hit-and-run crash in Lancaster was identified by county authorities.

Heather Davis, 40, died Friday of blunt force injuries, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.

Deputies responded at 12:59 a.m. Friday to West Avenue M and Fourth Street West after receiving a report of a person lying in the roadway, Lt. J. Elizondo of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station told City News Service.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Elizondo said.

Information about the suspect vehicle was not immediately available.
