A van overturned Friday on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Jurupa Valley, snarling afternoon traffic on the busy corridor but not causing injuries.
The crash was reported at 3:35 p.m. Friday on the eastbound 60 near Rubidoux Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency said the van driver apparently lost control, causing the vehicle to roll at least once in the slow lane. An SUV was hit by debris from the van, causing unspecified damage, the CHP stated.
No other details were immediately available.
Riverside County Fire Department crews reached the location within a few minutes and found the van operator, identified only as a man, walking around uninjured. The occupant of the SUV wasn’t hurt either.
The freeway slow lane was still blocked as of 4:30 p.m., obstructing traffic, the CHP stated.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
