A man in his mid-20s was arrested Friday after barricading himself in a Los Angeles Mid-City residence for around three hours, authorities said.
The suspect refused to leave the residence in the 2000 block of South Holt Avenue when officers armed with a warrant came to arrest him, a Los Angeles police sergeant said. The standoff began before midnight and ended around 2:50 a.m., he said.
A police SWAT team was at the scene and persuaded the suspect to leave the residence, the sergeant said.
Why his arrest was sought was not immediately disclosed.
