The coroner’s office Monday released the name of a woman found stabbed to death inside a Pomona motel room.
The victim was identified as 35-year-old Yvette Silva of Upland, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.
Officers found Silva when they responded to a call reporting a disturbance at 8:40 p.m. Saturday in a room at a Motel 6, 2470 S. Garey Ave., Pomona police Sgt. Bert Sanchez said.
The disturbance involved the woman and her assailant — an unidentified man, Sanchez said.
Silva was pronounced dead at the scene when paramedics arrived, he said.
Pomona police detectives asked anyone with information regarding the stabbing attack to call them at (909) 620-2085.
