An SUV careened off Sierra Highway in Palmdale Tuesday and crashed into a concrete drainage channel, killing a passenger and injuring the driver, authorities said.
The single-vehicle accident, involving a black Chevy Blazer, occurred on Sierra Highway at Avenue M-8 around 3:15 a.m., said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Adam Ellison. The passenger, a female, died at the scene, and the driver, a male, suffered moderate injuries, Ellison said.
