A civilian was treated at the scene of a house fire in Downey Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
The blaze was reported about 1:30 p.m. in the 8500 block of Tweedy Lane, according to a Downey Fire Department dispatcher.
The flames took about 45 minutes to extinguish. The fire caused significant damage to the residence, but a dollar estimate was not immediately released.
One person was treated at the scene for an unspecified injury, but was not transported to a hospital, the dispatcher said.
