Two people were injured Wednesday morning when their car went over the side of the westbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway and down a 60-foot embankment in Chatsworth, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident on the westbound Ronald Reagan Freeway just west of Topanga Canyon Boulevard was reported at 12:24 a.m., said CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos. The sedan was the only vehicle involved in the incident, he said.
Two people inside the car were transported to hospitals with what Villalobos called “major injuries.”
The Tujunga onramp to the westbound Ronald Reagan Freeway was shut down to limit traffic in the area where the CHP was investigating the incident and trying to get a truck with a chain long enough to pull the sedan out of its resting place, Villalobos said.
