Two firefighters were briefly hospitalized and a structure within a strip mall was extensively damaged after a three-alarm fire Friday night in Torrance.
The fire caused an estimated $750,000 in damage to Joseph’s Cleaners, on the 3400 block of Torrance Boulevard, a Torrance Fire Department statement said.
The blaze was reported at 10:45 p.m. Friday, and took 46 firefighters more than an hour to knock down.
The two firefighters were hospitalized for smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion, but were later released, the statement said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
